Desert Life Services

Desert Life Services (DLS) is our local community service arm. DLS is committed to championing and partnering with local activities and initiatives that enhance the lives of the local people of Alice Springs.

One of the main projects we as a church do in partnership with DLS is our annual Help Day. In 2024 we saw over 100 volunteers from our DLC community come alongside and partner with local organisations doing amazing work within Alice Springs.

Throughout 2024 DLS supported a number of organisations and people in the Alice Springs community. This includes Emergency response as we came alongside a number of different people and families that experienced challenging circumstances throughout the year.

Each year DLS provides a gift pack to every woman in the correctional facility and the Women's Alternative to Custody Facility (ATC) in the lead up to Mothers' Day. Each gift is designed to strengthen a woman’s dignity and fill her with the knowledge of God’s love and grace. Since beginning this initiative over 5 years ago, DLS in partnership with DLC, has developed an incredible relationship with both the correctional facility and ATC which has led to further opportunity for connection.
